Life is Busy

So,
The wedding went off with a hitch, and mexico was overrated. I'm busy trying to run a practice and learn the ins and outs of life, marriage and related stuff. Anyway, the blog days are probably over, or at least on hiatus. Thanks to those of you who read this. When I start finding myself with enough time to do another one, I'm thinking I'll be near bankruptcy or on disability. So, let's hope against my blogging.

Engaging Discussion

So, after a year and a half of dating I have asked Katie Lewis to marry me. It happened this morning in my car before we were supposed to go on a walk. She's pretty excited and so am I. We have no idea when the wedding will be but I wanted to update those of you who don't get to see me on a regular basis.

New Baby

My brother Tim and his wife Michelle had a second little girl this morning at 11:00. Welcome Delaney Reese Murphy to the family! I don't get to meet her till tomorrow but I thought I'd update those of you who know Timbo.

Turnin' Thirty-one

Today is my 31st birthday. Thanks to everyone for the ecards and phone calls. So far it has been pretty uneventful.

Last night I sat on my front porch and thought back through each of my 31 years. Had a little trouble remembering the first five. But I came up with some highlights I thought you all would enjoy.

I played the violin for seven years. I have a good ear but could never read music.

I used to study on Saturday mornings in college...early saturday mornings.

I didn't have a drink of alcohol till I was 24 years old. It was a cider in a pub with my brother Dan. And it was awful.

I'm still a virgin.

I've been to four continents: Asia, South America, North America, and Europe.

I don't like camping or hiking but I do them to hang out with my Dad.

I would love to be a writer.

I'd love to be a husband and a father. In that order.

El Sorry

Well, Apparently buying a practice requires a lot of work. I have been pushed to extremes of physical exhaustion and emotional endurance. I have had discussions with sixty year olds who act like ten year olds, and vice versa. Over all this move has been great for me, but it has also put a dent on my social life...ie blogging. Also, Kate and I have nine weddings this summer. Nine. Ridiculously fun. Off to do a hygiene check. Have a good weekend everyone.
